All students have received their booklists for next year as well as relevant information for the second-hand book sales. Every year the PFA run a second-hand book sale to enable students to sell and buy books. It cuts down your costs and also brings in some useful dollars $$$ The PFA takes a small commission on each sale and then spends that money on making improvements for the students at the school.
This is a very valuable service, so please take the time to read all the information provided, a lot of work goes into making this very helpful for you and your child. You must sign the permission form indicating you support the sale of your child’s books, without this we cannot accept the books for sale.
Year 12 students will be getting a cheque for their sold books at the end of the year so get those books in as soon as possible. Students in Year 11 and Year 10 are able to bring in their books to L3 throughout the school day in the first week of Transition, please encourage your child to do this so we have plenty of stock to offer parents.
Year 7-9 books will be collected on 4th and 5th December by Homegroup and we will be reminding students closer to these dates. If you misplace the paper work you can go to the website and download the relevant forms. The new book company is Link Educational Supplies who have an outlet in Waverley Road, Mount Waverley. The booklists are easy to read and there are three options for purchasing your new texts, so please read these details carefully on the front page.
Parent Contribution information for 2013 has been mailed home today and you should receive this in the post early next week. If you have not seen this by the close of next week please contact the school on 9708 1319 and ask for Lyn Bartley.
