College Council Meeting

At the first College Council meeting for the year, held on Monday, 25th February, 2013 the following motion was passed unanimously: –

The Gleneagles College Council appreciates the efforts teachers regularly make that are over and above their regular duties to support a range of activities for our students.  Council acknowledges that many staff have supported the Year 7, 11 & 12 camps and the Year 7 welcome BBQ and this allowed these activities to go ahead.

The College Council is aware of the current AEU industrial bans that seek to highlight the extra work that teachers do beyond the 38 hour week.

Council supports all staff in seeking recognition through improved pay and conditions.  The College Council calls on the Government not to take the good will of teachers for granted and to quickly and fairly reach an industrial agreement. Council acknowledges and thanks all staff for their commitment to providing valuable opportunities for our students.
