Performing Arts Variety Night

On Thursday 12th September, Gleneagles hosted the annual Performing Arts Variety Night concert in the Shed.  This is the main musical event for the year and it was pleasing to see the enormous amount of talent displayed by the Gleneagles students.   Acts included the junior and senior bands, vocal, flute, clarinet, saxophone ensemble items, with a touch of contemporary style as seen in the various duets.  Jazz styled items were also performed to a high standard including the wonderful saxophone ensemble performing ‘Mambo No 5’ with performer,  Mark Dipnall.

A big thank you goes to Tim Riley and Braeden Alford (Yr 10 students) who did a wonderful job in running the sound and lighting equipment and assisting in the organisation of this successful concert. Thank you also to the MCs for the night (Josh Kannemeyer and Shannon Conroy) as well as to the backstage crew and staff who assisted.
