SAC (Student Activities Committee) News

Members of the SAC Committee have recently been selling ANZAC badges for the annual ANZAC Day Appeal. All funds raised help the RSL assist current and former serving members of the Australian and/or Allied Defence Forces and their dependents who face difficult circumstances after serving our country. Thank you to everyone who either helped to raise funds or donated to the cause.

Prospective parents and students were treated to a SAC Games Club Experience on the Gleneagles Open Night. Students and parents alike were able to enjoy the numerous board games and the Wii, while also finding out more about our committee and how we contribute to student life at Gleneagles. Thank you to Amy Macdonald 7A, Fatima Mozaffari 8C, Farah El Abadla 8C and Anne  Featherston 8C who represented the SAC Committee extremely well on the night, by helping to set up and pack up the event and also by talking to prospective parents and students about our involvement in Extra Curricular Events at the College.

Year 7 Games Club is back up and running this Term, so if you’re in Year 7 and looking for a warm place to go to have some fun with some friends and escape the wintery weather, Games Club could be the place for you! There are numerous board games to play and a Wii as well. Come along to PD3 on a Thursday lunchtime, bring your lunch and your friends and maybe make some new ones! The SAC Committee looks forward to seeing you there!
