SCHOOL PRODUCTION UPDATE
TUESDAY 16TH TO THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2014
The cast, band and crew of Rock Revolution are working busily behind the scenes to rehearse and prepare for our debut performances at Hallam Theatre on 16th, 17th and 18th September. The show, written by our Drama teacher, Miss Thompson, is about a town where music has been banned and the townspeople start a rock revolution to bring it back. We are very excited to bring you a show that’s jam packed with colourful costumes, rocking singing, groovy dancing and an abundance of air guitar! Tickets will be on sale from Monday 18th August from the College Bursar. Adults $8, students/children $6. Get in quick before they sell out! You won’t want to miss out on a night of talent and entertainment!
This year for the first time, the production cast have been invited to compete in an eisteddfod style competition ‘Schools On Stage’ that showcases the performing arts talent from schools in the Casey Area. The competition will be held on Thursday 11th September. The Rock Revolution cast will be performing two numbers at the competition, ‘Better Be Home Soon’ and ‘Jailhouse Rock’, hoping to win awards and prizes for our school. We are the only school entering the competition with an original production and would love for any members of the school community to come along and support us on the night. Tickets available to be purchased online. Full details about both concerts are available on the College website, Homepage under Quicklinks.
