Science Students Win Top Prizes

GLENEAGLES SCIENCE STUDENTS WIN TOP PRIZES

Year 9E student David Stark and Year 7E student Leah Nathan and have been presented with Bursary Awards at this year’s Science Talent Search ceremony at Latrobe University in Bundoora. Leah was awarded with a Minor Bursary for her creative writing essay, “It’s the Bee’s Burden”. David impressed the judges with his working model “Building and Programming a Robot to Solve a Rubik’s Cube” earning him the top prize in his age group and category.

David had the opportunity to show off his robot at the Presentation Day held on 27th October 2014 at Latrobe University and had a constant crowd of students, teachers and parents asking him questions and admiring his ingenuity.
