Student Voice at Gleneagles represents the voice of the students at the school. Last year we came up with the idea of creating a mosaic multicultural friendship seat to represent the different cultures at the school. We feel like this is an important project to raise awareness about the need for tolerance and understanding within our school community. This project aims to bring the students and wider community together in a fun and collaborative way and will work towards preventing bullying and misunderstandings.
We wish to visually represent and acknowledge the culturally diverse voice of all students at our school through this project and last year were successful in receiving a grant from the Victorian Multicultural Commission and donations from Frank Walker from National Tiles, Bunnings Fountain Gate and the PFA. Once created the bench will serve as a focal meeting place and be used as a learning tool for students at the school.
We are looking for parent helpers to assist with this project in particular a concreter and brick layer to help build the chair. If you are willing to help out or know someone who can, we would really appreciate your help. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks in advance for your support with this project from the Student Voice team.
