The sounds are definitely loud and proud from the Music Department at Gleneagles Secondary College. February was a busy month for all of our new students being exposed to lots of new instruments and culminating in an incursion with the group ‘Brass Bedlam’ (pictured). What a busy Term we have had with our existing students continuing their studies from last year and so many recruits from our new Year 7 cohort joining our program. We welcome everyone and look forward to adding more students where we now have spaces still available.
Though most of our music classes are now full, we still have availability with instrument hire available for 2 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, 2 French Horns and 2 Oboes. We are also lucky to have the teaching services of Mauro Perez, a practising musician/percussionist. He is our drum teacher and is also extending his teaching availability. Mauro is now available to teach for another lesson. Please contact the Music Department for further information if interested but don’t miss your opportunity to join us. Please contact Mrs. Horvat to discuss the opportunity to study any of the above.
