REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY REPORT, THURSDAY 23RD JUNE 2016
On the freezing windy Thursday morning of the South Metro Regional Cross Country competition, 13 Gleneagles students raced in the highly prestigious and competitive event. Over 50 schools sent their very best athletes to compete against approximately 60 to 80 other runners in each age group to try and secure a place in the final level of the School Sports Victoria Cross Country Season and State. Two Gleneagles students (listed below) achieved a result within the top runners and will now compete in the Regional Cross Country to reach State.
Congratulations to everyone who participated. We all had a great day and despite the conditions, found the race enjoyable.
