Gleneagles Variety Night

On Wednesday 17th August 2016, Gleneagles presented “The Performing Arts Variety Night”. The night showcased some of the talent at our school challenging our young minds to perform in a wide variety of musical genres. The evening was compered by Xenia Sanut and Yuvani Jayatillake and featured a variety of performances including solo and small groups, the school choir, junior and senior bands. The evening also premiered a scene from the Gleneagles College Production, “Baby Sitter Wanted” and a surprise staff act.

A very special mention and thank you to all of the instrumental teachers who prepared our musical items – Kim Ball, Nicole McAlister, Sally McKenzie, Mark Dipnall, Paul Dunn, Nigel Maclean and Michele Goninon. No production is ever complete without the skills of those behind the scenes. So a big thank you to our sound/lighting crew – Josh Hunt, Andre Dababneh, Jamie Finn and Adrian Dababneh and backstage crew Emily Beckett, Thomas Lawler, Jacob Scanlan, Briana Mondon and Claire Holdsworth. The night was well attended and proved to be a very memorable night for performers and the audience. We appreciate the continued support from all families and friends and look forward to sharing more of these events with you at Gleneagles future events.
