Learning With Microsoft Teams – for Student & Families

Dear Students and families,

We will be rolling out a trial of Microsoft Teams Learning Hubs with our Unit 3/4 students from Monday 04/05/2020. This software package will allow students and their teachers a different way to communicate including a class chat function and online video conferencing.

The purpose of Teams is to continue to provide students at Gleneagles Secondary College with access to their teacher and curriculum in a purposeful way.

After reading the attached information any parent who is not comfortable with the concept of video conferencing for their child or are wishing to seek further clarification are encouraged to contact our admin team. Please be in contact with the helpdesk if you have need of any technical support.

If you do not wish your child to participate in the Teams program can you please email your child’s HG/Mentor teacher to opt out of the program.

We will be asking for feedback from students in the coming weeks with the intention of rolling out further Learning Hubs for other year levels. This is the beginning of an exciting new phase in our teaching and learning.

Kind regards,

Natasha Dickinson
