Kareenga Prison Visit 14/9/2018

Students will participate in the schools program at Karreenga Prison in Barwon South West Region as part of their studies of Crime in Sociology.   Students will be provided with insight into modern correctional issues and the consequences of offending behaviour in society. Students will have the chance to ask questions of, and hear the stories of, prisoner’s taking part in the Corrections Victoria program at Karreenga, under close supervision from Prison Officers and Teaching Staff.   Appropriate full school uniform must be worn on the day or participation may be denied.

Students from Legal Studies class LS0022B and Sociology class SO022B will participate on Friday 14th September.         Please note departure time is 6:45am

Places are limited.

 Cost per student $25.00 and is due by 24th August.

Consent/Payment can be provided online through the school’s parent portal (https://gleneagles-vic.compass.education), or alternatively by downloading the permission form and returning the tear-off slip with payment to the Bursar.

If you wish to use CSEF funds, draw funds from a payment plan or pay in cash, you will need to contact the finance office. The finance office is open from 8am. to 4pm., Monday to Friday.
