Year 9 CBD Information Night – 6p.m. in the library

All Year 9 students are required to participate in the Year 9 CBD Experience. The program has become an exciting and engaging part of the Year 9 curriculum and has been running successfully for the past 10 years.

What is the CBD Experience?
The Year 9 CBD Experience is a unique opportunity for students to experience the many wonderful attractions and features of our great city of Melbourne, whilst at the same time discovering more about the people who live, work and play in the city centre. It also provides students with the experience of travelling to and navigating around the Central Business District (CBD) and surrounds, and in so doing, aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to travel to the city for future education, work and entertainment purposes.

What does the CBD Experience involve?
The Year 9 CBD Experience is a 5 day program of activities and attractions that takes place in the CBD and surrounds of the city of Melbourne.
The program will be an educational focus for the duration of Term 2 with all students expected to complete a number of activities and lessons across their subjects as well as a detailed group project. These tasks will be assessed and reported on.

Dates of the Experience:
9 A, B, C, D and E                        Monday 28th May – Friday 1st June
9 F, G, H, I, J and K                      Monday 4th June – Friday 8th June

Students will prepare for the experience during class time in term two, where plenty more information will be given.

If you require anymore information, we will be holding a parent information night on Wednesday 18th of April at 6pm in the Library.

I look forward to seeing you there.
Enjoy your break.
