Scholarships

 

A Year 7 Scholarship at Gleneagles Secondary College provides students with the opportunity to be rewarded for their personal qualities as a student and member of the school community. We are committed to celebrating their capabilities and skills upon entry to secondary education.

 

Principal’s Scholarship

Principal’s Scholarships are available to future Year 7 students who exemplify the college values of Respect, Inclusion, Stamina and Excellence in any of the following categories:

 

Academic

To be considered for an academic scholarship, students must demonstrate skills and knowledge above the expected level for a Year 6 student in one or more learning areas. They will be committed to ongoing learning and have an exemplary school report. Selection will be through an application and interview.

 

Arts

The Arts program provides student with the opportunity to excel in an area they are passionate about. If you are a talented singer, dancer, musician, artist, designer, photographer, or any other form of expressive arts you may apply for the scholarship. Selection will be through an application and interview.

 

Sports

Sports Scholarships are available to students who have demonstrated outstanding sporting ability in any team sport. If you are a talented athlete, sporting club member, coach, player or have demonstrated ongoing commitment to a school/community sporting club or program, you may apply for the scholarship. Selection will be through an application and interview.

 

EAL 

EAL Scholarships are available to students from any year level who have demonstrated resilience and commitment at language school, primary school or in the community. Selection will be through an application and interview. 

 

Applying for a Scholarship

Applications for scholarships are nominated by our local primary schools.
