Congratulations to Molly Griffiths (Yr 11) who came 5th in u17s Girls Backstroke at the State Swimming Championships. Molly swam 35.29 (a personal best!) in a strong field. Well done Molly!Congratulations also to the students who competed at the Southern Metropolitan Region Swimming Championships.

Congratulations to students that participated in the Young Leaders Global Youth Forum. Thirteen Year 9 students participated in the week long forum which involved connecting with over 1000 other students from 100 different schools around the world in an online forum.
To support the positive transition to secondary school Year 5 and 6 students from James Cook, Thomas Mitchell, Southern Cross, Mossgiel Park and Chalcot Lodge Primary Schools recently attended a transition day at Gleneagles Secondary College.

Congratulations to Jacob Grant for winning silver in high jump at State Athletics for the 18-20 years age group. Jacob jumped a height of 1.85cm to take out the medal.
A group of Year 8 students are currently participating in a pilot program with the South East Melbourne Phoenix Basketball Club. The Phoenix do a lot of work with primary schools, but this program is a pilot program for secondary schools.

Construction of our new Senior Centre is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks, with completion set for the second half of 2023. The Senior Centre will be home to our VCE students and staff and will enable us to continue to offer a broad VCE program that caters to the needs of all students.
Congratulations to our 2019 School Captain, Josh Davis who was recently awarded the prestigious ‘Hansen Scholarship’ as part of his Bachelor of Arts (Politics / Islamic Studies) degree at the University of Melbourne.
On Thursday 2nd June a group of our students provided assistance for the running of Thomas Mitchell Primary School's Athletics Carnival. To quote Mr Gouge “the day would not have been possible without the help of the Gleneagles students.”
