Thomas Mitchell PS Athletics Day
On Thursday 2nd June a group of our students provided assistance for the running of Thomas Mitchell Primary School's Athletics Carnival. To quote Mr Gouge “the day would not have been possible without the help of the Gleneagles students.”
Students were measuring all the field events, marshalling, encouraging the younger students and even running the track with Thomas Mitchell students who were struggling.
These wonderful representatives of Gleneagles exemplify, not only our RISE values (Respect, Inclusion, Stamina and Excellence), but also all that is great about our school.
The opportunities around leadership and transition that these connections provide for our student body and for the primary students is substantial. We have many more of these experiences, including the Gleneagles Cup in Term 3, that will further strenthen the connection between our local primary schools and Gleneagles SC.
